Hanji #2 is a single pendant light composed of hand-crafted Hanji paper, delicately applied to the curved surface of an ellipsoid glass form. As light passes through the glass, the layered texture and subtle structure of the Hanji are gently revealed.
This piece received an Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Award.
Hanji, crafted from the inner bark of the mulberry tree, possesses a distinctive texture and appearance owing to its natural fibers. Its inherent transparency allows for a delicate luminosity when illuminated by light.
